An LG PuriCare purifier moves room air through a filter stack – typically a washable pre-filter ahead of a HEPA or combination filter – and adds an air-quality sensor that adjusts fan speed automatically along with, on some models, Wi-Fi control through an app. With few moving parts, the fan motor, the control board and the sensor are essentially the whole list of things that can fail.
We start with filter fit, the model-specific reset procedure and sensor cleaning, since those account for most of the complaints we see, and only move to testing the fan motor and control board once those have been ruled out. Where a repair would cost close to what a similar unit sells for new, we say so before any parts are ordered.
