🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the washer, wait about 10 seconds, reconnect, and restart the wash cycle; this clears a temporary heater glitch if that's what caused it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If HE persists after a reset, the heater element or its control relay needs a technician's diagnosis and replacement - it's not a part accessible without opening the cabinet.
- Continuing to select cycles that call for heated water (sanitary, allergen) with a failed heater won't achieve the sanitizing temperature those cycles are meant to reach, even if the cycle otherwise completes.
