What E6 (Clutch Error) Means

Common Causes of E6 (Clutch Error)
- Coin, zipper, or other small foreign object trapped between the pulsator and tub

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Remove everything from the wash tub, look at the bottom of the drum, and check the seam between the drum and the pulsator for a coin, zipper pull, paper clip, or similar small object, removing anything you find with a pair of pliers rather than your fingers.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a careful check of the pulsator seam doesn't turn up an object and E6 persists, the clutch mechanism itself needs a technician's inspection - it's a drivetrain component beneath the tub, not something to disassemble further yourself.
- Use pliers rather than reaching in with bare fingers to retrieve any trapped object, since the pulsator seam can have sharp edges.
