What PF (Power Interrupted) Means
PF indicates power has been interrupted to the range, per LG's range Help Library article - not a hardware fault, but a notice that the unit lost power mid-operation, most often from a household outage.
Common Causes of PF (Power Interrupted)
- Household power outage or tripped breaker during operation
- Range accidentally unplugged or its breaker switched off mid-use
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press the CLEAR/OFF key and try the original function again; if PF reappears repeatedly without any actual power interruption you're aware of, cycle the circuit breaker for 30 seconds and, if it still returns, that pattern (rather than a single PF after an outage) is worth having checked.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A single PF after a known outage isn't a fault to chase - only treat repeated, unexplained PF codes as a reason to have the range's power supply inspected.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
