🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If CH54 appeared after any recent electrical work in your home, turn the dedicated circuit breaker connected to the air conditioner on, then off after about three minutes for use, and check whether the display clears.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- This is a wiring-order fault at the circuit breaker box, not something to correct yourself - if the error persists after checking the dedicated breaker, LG's guidance is to contact the electrical construction company to check the RSW (wiring) connections of the power supply, which means an electrician's visit, not an appliance repair.
- Reversed or missing-phase wiring at a breaker box is a genuine electrical safety issue - don't keep power-cycling the unit hoping it resolves itself if it's traced to construction-stage wiring.
