Common Causes of gAS (Gas Dryers Only)
- Gas supply valve not fully open

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Confirm the gas supply valve behind the dryer is turned fully ON, and visually check that the gas line isn't kinked; if both check out and gAS persists, stop and call for service rather than investigating the gas line further yourself.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Never attempt to open, disconnect, or otherwise work on the gas line or the dryer's internal gas valve yourself - if the supply valve is confirmed open and the visible line isn't kinked but gAS persists, that's specifically a licensed technician's job, since gas appliance repairs carry real fire and carbon-monoxide risk.
