What nE, nF, nC (Dryer Wireless/NFC) Means
These three codes cover the dryer's smart-connectivity components, per LG's dryer Help Library article: nE indicates a connection issue between the control panel and the Wi-Fi module, nF indicates a problem with the Wi-Fi module itself, and nC is displayed when the connection between the Display PCB and NFC PCB module is faulty.
Common Causes of nE, nF, nC (Dryer Wireless/NFC)
- Temporary Wi-Fi or NFC module connection glitch
- Home network/router issue unrelated to the dryer
- Wi-Fi or NFC module hardware fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the dryer, wait 60 seconds, and restart it; these affect ThinQ app connectivity and NFC smart features only, not the core drying cycle.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a reset doesn't clear whichever of the three codes you're seeing, the relevant module needs a technician's replacement, but there's no need to stop using the dryer's normal cycles in the meantime.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
