Very little on an LG appliance fails without warning. What happens is gradual: a dryer duct that restricts a little more each month until the machine reports its Flow Sense warning, a drain pump filter that fills with lint until the washer cannot empty, a refrigerator water filter past its interval, a condenser coil under a blanket of dust.
A maintenance visit deals with those while they are still cheap. It is worth most on dryers and washers, where restricted airflow and blocked filters cause a large share of all call-outs, and on the air-treatment range — purifiers, dehumidifiers and air conditioners — where a loaded filter shows up as weak output long before anything breaks.
