What nE Means
nE indicates a connection issue between the Display PCB and the washer's Wi-Fi module, per LG's front-load washer Help Library article. This is a smart-connectivity fault, not a wash-cycle fault.
Common Causes of nE
- Temporary Wi-Fi module connection glitch
- Home network/router issue unrelated to the washer
- Wi-Fi module hardware fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the washer, wait 60 seconds, and restart it; check that your home Wi-Fi network is working normally too, since a router-side issue can sometimes look similar.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a reset and confirming your home network is working don't clear nE, the washer's Wi-Fi module itself needs a technician's replacement - it's built into the control housing, not a separate accessory.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
