What FO (Filter Out) Means
FO, or a flashing INSERT FILTER message, means the lint filter's sensor doesn't detect it properly inserted, per LG's dryer Help Library article - the dryer will stop working until this is corrected.

- Lint filter not fully inserted
- Lint filter sensor fault (if reinserting doesn't clear it)

Remove the lint filter completely and reinsert it fully into its housing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a full removal and reinsertion doesn't clear FO, the filter-detection sensor itself needs a technician's inspection - don't keep forcing the filter in and out repeatedly.
