Common Causes of dE2, E30 (Door Closed but Not Locked)

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the door area for anything preventing it from seating fully, open and firmly re-close the door, and if it still won't lock, power the washer off, unplug it, wait about 5 seconds, and reconnect before trying the cycle again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A door latch that's visibly bent or that won't engage even on a light load and a clean gasket needs a technician's replacement part - continuing to run cycles hoping it self-corrects risks the door opening under water pressure mid-cycle.
- Reducing the load size is worth trying once, but if a normal-sized load still won't let the door lock, that points to the latch hardware itself rather than how full the washer is.
