What Od Means
Od indicates a Wi-Fi modem communication error, or a fault between the display's micom and the Wi-Fi module, per LG's error-code list.
Common Causes of Od
- Wi-Fi module communication glitch
- Router or home network issue unrelated to the refrigerator itself
- Wi-Fi module hardware fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Power-cycle the refrigerator (unplug about a minute, reconnect); this is a smart-connectivity fault, not a cooling fault, so it's safe to keep using the appliance normally while you work on clearing it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a reset doesn't clear Od, the Wi-Fi module itself may need replacement, and that's inside the refrigerator's control housing, not a separately swappable smart-home accessory.
- Before assuming it's the refrigerator's fault, check whether other smart devices on the same network are also having trouble, since a router issue can produce the same symptom.
