What LE1 Means
LE1 means the drum isn't rotating because of an issue with the drum motor, per LG's dryer Help Library article, which specifically names an overly heavy load as the most common trigger.
Common Causes of LE1
- Drum overloaded, straining the motor
- Drum motor itself has failed (if reducing the load doesn't help)
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Remove some items if the load is unusually heavy or bulky and try running the dryer again with a more reasonable-sized load.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a normal-sized load still won't get the drum to rotate, the motor itself needs a technician's diagnosis and likely replacement - this isn't something to keep testing with repeated overloaded attempts.
