What CL (Dehumidifier Child Lock) Means
CL is not an error on an LG dehumidifier - per LG's dedicated CL article, it indicates Child Lock is enabled, a standard safety feature to prevent children from accidentally operating the unit. When active, only the Power button will respond to input.

- The lock button combination was pressed accidentally
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Depending on your model year, press and hold the designated unlock button for 3 seconds: on 2024-and-newer models, press and hold the Humidity Up (up arrow) button for 3 seconds until you hear a beep and the CL indicator disappears; on 2020-2023 models, press and hold the dedicated Lock button for 3 seconds instead.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- There's no fault to diagnose - a service call over a CL display alone would be paying for a button-press sequence you can do yourself once you identify which button applies to your model year.
