What 67 Means
A 67 code points to a gap in a door, or an object inside the refrigerator preventing a door from closing fully, per LG's error-code list.
Common Causes of 67
- Item stored too close to the door edge is blocking it from fully closing
- Door gasket is torn, dirty, or not sealing evenly
- Door alignment has shifted (unit not level, or hinge wear)
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check both doors for anything wedged in the way - a container pushed too far forward, a bag caught in the seal - and remove it so the door can close completely; also run a hand along the door gasket to feel for gaps or a torn seal.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If clearing obstructions doesn't resolve it and the door still doesn't seal, that points to a gasket or alignment issue that needs a level check and possibly gasket replacement, not further forcing of the door.
- A door that won't close all the way lets warm humid air in continuously, which can trigger ice buildup and other codes (like FF or dH) as a secondary effect - worth fixing promptly rather than living with a 67 code.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
