Common Causes of Ad
- Auto door motor mechanism has failed or is obstructed
- Physical obstruction in the door's travel path
- Reed switch or motor wiring fault
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the door opening area for anything obstructing the auto-door's travel path (nearby cabinetry, stored items) before assuming it's a hardware failure, since a physical obstruction can produce the same symptom as a motor fault.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- LG gives no troubleshooting path beyond checking for an obvious obstruction - the auto-door motor and its switches are internal to the door assembly and not a homeowner-serviceable part.
- Forcing a stuck auto-door by hand risks damaging the motor or its drive mechanism further, adding to the eventual repair cost.
